Tracy Helen Tillotson, was born in June of 1919, Detroit. She lived in a multitude of places such as Japan and Seattle, eventually settling in California. There, she became a well-known artist, studying under Leon Frank. Upon graduating high school, she was offered a job at Walt Disney Studios. The offer was declined due to her fathers objections to his daughter working. Nonetheless, Tracy continued to paint and teach others.
